1. WHAT TO EXPECT FROM A SINGLE TOOTH IMPLANT PROCEDURE

A single tooth implant is used when there is a single tooth missing requiring replacement. Ideally the implant should be placed shortly after the tooth has been lost to minimise the amount of bone loss in the area. In some cases bone grafting procedures may need to be considered prior to placing an implant.

Depending on the conditions of your mouth the implant placement can be straightforward or may require additional treatment prior to placement. Traditionally a single tooth implant can take between 3-6 months to be placed.
