Frequently Asked Questions about Spark® Aligners
What are Spark Aligners made of?
Spark Aligners are made of TruGEN™, a BPA, mercury, latex, and phthalate-free patented plastic material designed for clarity, comfort, and precise tooth movements.
How long do I need to wear Spark Aligners each day?
For optimal results, it is recommended to wear Spark Aligners for at least 22 hours per day, removing them only for eating, drinking, brushing, and flossing.
How often do I need to switch to a new set of Spark Aligners?
Typically, you will switch to a new set of Spark Aligners every one to two weeks, as directed by your orthodontist or dentist. Each new set of aligners will gradually shift your teeth into the desired position.
Are Spark Aligners comfortable?
Most patients experience minimal discomfort when wearing Spark Aligners. You may feel slight pressure or tenderness for the first few days after switching to a new set of aligners, but this is normal and a sign that the aligners are working to move your teeth.
How do I clean and maintain my Spark Aligners?
To clean your Spark Aligners, rinse them under lukewarm water and gently brush them with a soft-bristled toothbrush. Always remove your aligners before eating or drinking anything other than water to prevent staining and damage.
